Introduction 

The general terms and conditions below set out the terms of the binding agreement between the user (hereinafter referred to as "you" or "your") and Vejastore (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", "(the) company" or "Veja"), part of Veja Fair Trade SARL, listed on the Paris RCS under number B478328107, with registered office at 146 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75010 Paris, France. 

1. General 

By using www.veja-store.com (the "website"), you confirm that you have read, reviewed, and agree to be bound by, this agreement. If you do not agree to be bound by this agreement, please leave the website immediately. VEJA allows you to use this website on condition that you accept this agreement. 

We may, from time to time and at any time without notice, amend this agreement. You acknowledge that we may amend this agreement or revise the conditions thereof. You also acknowledge that all changes made to this agreement shall take full effect after their publication online. All amendments or changes shall replace any and all previous versions of this agreement, unless the previous versions are specifically mentioned or incorporated in the latest amendment or change to this agreement. 

You must be aged 16 (sixteen) or over to visit this website. By placing an order on the website, you agree to these general terms and conditions. You must be aged 18 (eighteen) or over to make a purchase on this website. By using the website, you acknowledge and confirm that you are aged 18 or over and are able to enter into this agreement. Veja accepts no responsibility for false age declarations any such declaration shall constitute a material breach of this agreement. 

We may need to interrupt website access to carry out scheduled or unscheduled maintenance or urgent services. You acknowledge that your access to the website may be affected by scheduled or unscheduled downtime, for whatever reason, and that the company shall not be liable towards you, under any notion of liability, for such downtime. 

This website may contain links to other websites, including social media sites, which are outside of Veja's control. We are not responsible for these third-party websites and links to these websites do not constitute Veja's approval of the websites or the content therein. 

 2. Account Information 

When you make a purchase on the website, you have the option to create an account with Veja. You acknowledge that the information that you provide when setting up an account is accurate. You also agree not to :  

• Select, register or attempt to register, or use the name or other identifiable information of another person with the intention of usurping that person's identity.
• Use another person’s name without that person's express consent.
• Use a name in breach of any person's intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to reject the registration or terminate the account of anyone who breaches the terms of this agreement at our sole discretion. You will be responsible for keeping your password confidential and agree to notify Veja immediately of any known or suspected unauthorised use of your account. You acknowledge that you are responsible for all declarations, actions and omissions in relation to your account while your password is in use. 

You shall not grant permission to any third party to access or use the website in order to act on your behalf. Should you do so, you alone shall be responsible for all actions and/or omissions by said third party in relation to the website. You alone are responsible for ensuring that your password is kept confidential, as well as for all account activity while your password is in use. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your password or account information, or of any security breach. We cannot and will not be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to cancel, reject, prohibit or restrict orders for any reason whatsoever at our sole discretion, including, but not limited to, orders which, in Veja's view, appear to have been placed by dealers, resellers or distributors. 

Warning! If you wish to have your order delivered to Brazil, we advise you to order on our website VERT.

European Union

Our prices have displayed all taxes included for orders to European Union countries.

Countries outside Europen Union

For orders to countries outside the European Union, prices are quoted exclusive of tax. These orders are subject to any taxes and customs duties in the country of destination.

These costs and formalities are the responsibility of the customer/consignee. They are to be paid to the carrier at the time of delivery. You are responsible for the payment of all governmental taxes, administrative fees and customs duties charged by a carrier when you use the website or make a purchase.
In the event that the recipient refuses the package due to additional customs duties charged to the recipient upon receipt, VEJA reserves the right to charge the amount of such customs duties originally due by the customer up to €25 (£25).

Non-EU country charges and formalities apply, and are the responsibility of the customer/recipient. They are to be paid to the carrier at the time of delivery. You are responsible for the payment of all government taxes, administration fees and customs duties charged by a carrier when using the website or making a purchase.
In the event that the recipient refuses the package due to additional customs duties charged to the recipient upon receipt, VEJA reserves the right to charge the amount of such customs duties originally due by the customer up to €25 (£25).

4. Order process

All purchases shall take effect once the order has been confirmed by Veja. Your order shall be confirmed when we send an email with the heading "We have our order". The email will also confirm that payment has been accepted and charged to your chosen payment method. Veja reserves the right not to confirm an order for any reason whatsoever (including, but not limited to, unavailability of items, issues with the order received, irregularities with an order, foreseeable issues with delivery or problems with a past order). You agree to provide true and accurate information when placing your order with Veja. Insofar as the information that you give Veja is required for billing purposes and to establish a warranty agreement, failure to provide complete and accurate information shall result in cancellation of your order. 

When your order status is indicated as "Payment accepted", you will have four (4) hours in which to cancel your order. You can cancel your order directly on the order confirmation page by going to "My Orders" in your account. Where your order status is different or after the four-hour time limit has lapsed, you will be unable to cancel your order.

Where you cancel your order, please allow up to five (5) business days after the cancellation is confirmed to receive a refund, depending on your bank. Where we can only fulfil an order in part, payment will be taken for the whole of the order and we will issue a refund for the unavailable items when the items are shipped.  

5. Errors, inaccuracies and omissions 

We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time. However, we shall apply the prices in effect as displayed on the website at the time your order is placed. 

You agree to pay for all items you purchase from Veja, and acknowledge that prices are subject to change. When purchasing a physical item, you agree to provide Veja with a valid email and delivery address, in addition to valid billing details. We reserve the right to correct any error, inaccuracy or omission, amend or update information, or to cancel an order where the information you provide is inaccurate or incomplete. If we decide to do this after payment has been processed, we will refund you the cost of your purchase. We may also ask you for additional information before confirming a purchase, and we reserve the right to impose additional restrictions on the sale of any Veja product. For physical goods purchases, we may pre-authorise your credit or debit card when you place your order, or we may charge your card when we ship your order. You agree to monitor activity on your payment method. Actual delivery costs and times are may deviate from those indicated due to unforeseen circumstances.

6. Secure payment 

We may use a third-party payment services provider to process transactions made via the website. 

We accept payment by credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Union Pay, JCB, American Express), PayPal, Giropay, WeChat Pay and iDEAL* depending on the country of delivery. Payment in four instalments via PayPal is available on some orders* between €50 and €2,000. Should you cancel or return an order, in full or in part, you will be automatically refunded monthly payments already taken from your account. This payment option is offered by PayPal. Veja accepts no responsibility in the event that a customer is declined for a payment option and offers no commitments in respect of instalment plans. 
 
We use industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and other critical information like your credit card details.

Please also refer to your Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect, use and share your personal information. 
 

 *iDEAL is only available for transactions in Euro (€).

7. Delivery conditions 

Once your payment has been confirmed, we process and deliver your order to the carrier within an average of 24 to 48 hours (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays).

Once your order has been handed over to the carrier, you must add the delivery time. This time depends on the chosen transport solution and your delivery address.

You will be able to follow the progress of your parcel at any time thanks to the tracking number communicated after your order has been shipped.

Veja offers the following delivery options:  Colissimo and UPS. For international orders, standard delivery with Colissimo is linked to your local postal service.

8. Returns and withdrawal policy 
 

We will only accept items returned within 28 days, unworn and in their original packaging (no damage to the box), with the return slip, available to download on your customer account. 

With the exception of sale and promotional items, which are final purchases, if you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it within 28 days from the item delivery date using the return slip available on your account. All returns must be accompanied by the receipt and a completed and signed return slip. Veja does not offer exchanges. 

You are responsible for the full cost of sending return items. However, returns are free in France and Europe, under the following conditions: free returns in France for orders above €65; free returns in Europe for orders above €80. 
 

Free returns apply to the following European countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland. 
 

To be eligible for a refund or credit, products must be returned in their original working condition (packaging, accessories, instructions, etc.). Any product that has been damaged, or is not in its original packaging, or whose packaging has been worn beyond simple opening of the product, will not be refunded. The processing time for a return after receipt in our warehouse is 5 working days. Provided that the above return conditions are met:

- If you have requested a refund, the refund will be made within 14 days after VEJA has received and processed the returned item.

- Credits offered as a commercial gesture are valid for 1 year and are not refundable.

As stated above, Veja do not offer exchanges. 

Please note: In case of payment with a credit note, the refund will be made in a credit note and will not be refunded to the credit card used for the payment of the online order.

Online orders on the website www.veja-store.com cannot be returned to the store. Please make your returns by following the online procedure only. For more information please see our return policy.

9. Confidentiality 

How we collect information on this website is governed by our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms of this policy and that you consent to the collection and use of information described in the policy. 

10. Registration 

When you register on the website, which is necessary in order to complete an order, you must select a username, which can be your email address or another term, and a password. You can also provide personal details, including, but not limited to, your name. You are responsible for the accuracy of such information. Identification details will be used when placing product orders. You must not share your username or password with third parties; if you discover that your account has been compromised, you agree to notify Veja immediately. You alone are responsible for ensuring that your account details remain safe and secure and for keeping Veja informed of any changes to your identification details. Providing false or inaccurate information, or using the website or its services to commit fraud or engage in illegal activity shall constitute grounds for immediate termination of this agreement. 

11. Intellectual property 

All website content (including, but not limited to, illustrations, photographs, images, text, data, names, brand names, and videos) is the exclusive property of Veja, its co-contractors or partners, and foreign copyright laws, trademarks and other intellectual property rights. All reproduction of this content, in full or in part, by any method, shall require Veja's prior express written consent. You may not attach or download content from the website without Veja's prior express written consent. 

12. Rules on administration 

You may not administer, or give the impression that a third-party website presents or endorses, an item of content on this website, or incorporate any intellectual property belonging to the website, Veja, or any of their licensors on another website or another service, without Veja's prior express written consent. 

13. Trademarks 

You may not use any other trademark or brand name featured on the website without the prior written consent of Veja or the owner of the trademark or brand name. 

14. Permission to reprint and create web links 

All website content is, without restriction, protected by US and foreign copyright and trademark law. 

15. Veja communications 

By registering and/or making a purchase on the website, you acknowledge that we may send you communications or website data, including, but not limited to :

• Notifications about products that you request, including notifications regarding purchase conditions.
• Updates.
• Information or documents regarding transactions, products and/or services that you select or purchase or that you interact with through your use of the website. By using and registering on the website, you agree to receive these emails from Veja. 

16. Disclaimer of guarantee

Your use of the website is "as is" and "as available". Veja provides no guarantees as to the accuracy, usability or completeness of the website. Specifically, Veja disclaims :

• All implied guarantees of title, non-counterfeiting, merchantability and suitability for a specific use as regards the website.
• All guarantees not provided hereunder. 
   

Veja makes no representation or guarantee as regards the website or its content, which are provided for use on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Veja disclaims all implied and express guarantees, including, but not limited to, guarantees of merchantability and suitability for a specific use as regards the website or any related website. Veja provides no guarantee as to the functional features, information or links contained on the website, or that its content will meet your requirements, or that the website or its content are suitable for a specific use, or that the operation of the website or its content will be uninterrupted or free from error, that faults will be rectified, or that this website or its server are free from viruses, bugs, Trojan horses, cancelbots or other harmful elements. Veja provides no guarantee or representations as regards the use, or the outcomes from use, of website material in terms of accuracy, reliability or other qualities. 

Disclaimers of guarantee are not authorised in some jurisdictions. As a result, some of the above disclaimers may not apply to you. 

The website is monitored by Veja from its offices in Paris, France. Veja makes no claim as to the appropriateness or availability of the website for use in other locations. Those who opt to access the website from other countries do so on their own initiative and are responsible for complying with local laws. 

17. Applicable law 

Our conditions of sale are governed by French law. The designation of this applicable law does not, however, in any way affect your rights as a consumer under the applicable law in your country of residence.

18. Data Protection Act 

Veja has submitted the file (declaration 1235194) containing named customer data for the www.veja-store.com website to French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) in accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978. 

Under this law, customers have a right of access, rectification and objection over personal data collected about them. These rights may be exercised online via "My account".

Veja accepts no liability for special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages resulting from the use, or inability to use, website content, even if Veja or an authorised representative was notified of the possibility of such damages. This limitation shall apply to all claims made by you, including, but not limited to, termination of contract, negligence, liability without fault, fraud or any offence. Limitations of or exemptions from liability for certain damages may not be admissible under certain laws. As such, the aforementioned limitation or exemption cannot be applied to you. 

IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE WEBSITE OR TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE, YOUR ONLY RECOURSE IS TO STOP USING THE WEBSITE AND SERVICES. 

21. Miscellaneous 

VEJA may assign this agreement, in full or in part, at any time, with or without notice. You may not assign this agreement or any part thereof to another party. Any attempt to do so on your part shall be null and void. 

Failure on the part of VEJA to exercise a right or provision in this agreement shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. 

Section headings in this agreement are indicative and have no legal or contractual effect.
