VEJA opens in Los Angeles - Venice
After Brooklyn and Manhattan, VEJA is heading to the West Coast — opening a new store on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, in Venice.
The space was designed by OWIU (Only Way Is Up), an architecture studio based in L.A. They drew inspiration from the California coastline from Manhattan Beach to Malibu. The result is a raw, mineral aesthetic, filled with natural light.
The layout highlights local materials: “California Gold” stone, gravel, pebbles from nearby quarries, and tinted concrete.
At the back of the store, you’ll find a cobbler’s workshop. Old shoes get a second life, VEJA or not. A service open to all, designed to extend the lifespan of your shoes.
